It’s weird not seeing you sitting on that bed as I come out of the bathroom. Sometimes we haven’t seen eye to eye, but one thing remained, and it’s the fact that we’re family & there was always love there. It’s still so hard to accept that you have joined the angels up above, but I have to remember that you are no longer suffering. C-section newborn with amniotic sac intact. The baby still breaths & feeds from the placenta, it doesnt even “know” it has been born yet. Beautiful and rare picture.

I’ve delivered babies vaginally like this. It happens so rarely, but is such an amazing thing to see. I love watching the baby open it’s eyes and blink so peacefully since it hasn’t taken it’s first breath and is just waiting for something more to happen. It’s like seeing a baby’s face through a snow globe. I love it:)

I had a seasoned L&D nurse tell me the only place I would ever see a caul birth is in the home because “that just doesn’t happen in the hospital” so thank you MsDee for telling me she’s dead wrong. :) I cannot wait to see this. Like this is the one thing I look forward to most in midwifery!
